Small garden designs start at $350.00, while more intricate, involved designs going up to $800.00. Most properties fall somewhere in the middle. Give me a call, and I can give you a better idea of where your scope of work would likely fall in the price range.
our specialty garden process
1st meeting:
1-hour consultation at your home - $50.00. If you move forward with a garden design, the $50.00 will be applied to your design fee on the final invoice.
- We will talk about your needs/vision and determine a price range for your scope of work.
- If at the end of the consultation meeting, you want to move forward with the work, a 50% design fee deposit will be collected that day, and a date for the design presentation meeting will be scheduled. I can usually get your design back to you in about a week.
- A copy of your house plat may be needed to render your design, so please have this available. A hard copy or digital is fine.
2nd meeting:
1-hour design presentation meeting at your home.
- We will go over your scaled, hand rendered, color design. You will be given one copy to keep, plus a digital file. If design changes are made during this meeting, a revised design will be dropped at your home within a week- no meeting is required.
- The balance of the design fee is due at this design presentation meeting.
- You’ll receive a plant & supply list – This includes plant name and quantity of plants needed for the design. Hardscape material quantities needed such as stone, edging, mulch will also be listed.
- You’ll receive plant care instructions – This includes initial watering instructions, seasonal care, and water needs after the plant is established.
- Installation of the design is not included in the design pricing. You can install the garden yourself, hire your own contractor, or use one of my contractor referrals.
- After you have the design installed, I will be there for you to answer any questions you may have regarding your plant health or any other concerns. Just call!
3rd meeting (only if needed):
On-site installation consulting for specialty garden design.
If needed, this is an hourly service I provide on installation day. I help with marking out planting area, placing plants and troubleshooting any issues during installation. This is especially helpful if you are doing the installation yourself, or if you’re working with somebody that’s not familiar with the process. Hourly rate is $50.00 per hour, with a one hour minimum.
PLEASE NOTE
- It’s the homeowner’s responsibility to call JULIE to mark any underground utilities before digging in your yard. They usually need to be called about a week before digging begins. You can contact them by calling 800.892.0123 or julie1call.com. If I’m consulting on installation day, I will call JULIE for you.
